a sustainable health habit

Here are some simple habits from my journal which got me good results. I’m not a medical guy – reader discretion mandatory. And they’re not shortcuts for instant reduction.

A more natural sustainable approach is the key. The more independent we become the better, independent of devices and gadgets and chemicals and circumstances (access to a sport or depending on weather, a group of people, etc).

limited by the known

I’ve come across a lot of fellow software engineers who seem to be really scared to ever admit that they don’t know anything. At different points in time, I’ve been in situations where I’ve failed to understand something that I needed to, or have ended up with colleagues whom I have to rely upon but are having difficulty seeing the point, but don’t want to acknowledge it!

some productivity tools…

We spend so many hours at work everyday – maybe at office or maybe at home, depending on our circumstances. I’d like to make a note here of many useful links that I’ve come across over the years… which I’ve tried to implement with varying degrees of success…

simple XML Editor

Relevant only if you work with XML…

This is a pretty neat free XML Editor from Microsoft that I’ve used for quite a few years… as lightweight as Notepad. We can just draw XML and drag and drop nodes, and then view source to copy the XML source.

XML Notepad offers an intuitive and simple user interface that
graphically represents the tree structure of XML data. Working with the standard
building blocks of XML (Elements, Attributes and Text), authors are able to
create reproducible data structures that can be easily filled.

when a protector needed protection

Recently came across an incredible video of a tiger attack – quite an old incident dated June 2004. They were trying to dart a tigeress to move it into a safer place, but obviously it didn’t know that and didn’t like it very much. Here’s the background story…

a lot of posts

Dear Reader,

Posted many things here. Please read it at your own time – not in a hurry. And do speak out your mind whenever you have anything to say. Truth is of course more important than my personal opinions! :) I esp welcome critical views, as I’m always happy to see some perspective that I’ve missed!

Am going to be very busy this whole week with a client from Singapore and will probably be extending hours, so might not be able to respond to anything here for a while.

I eventually certainly will read each of your comments [and always do appreciate (even though I'm not always courteous enough to give an acknowledgement, etc  )]. I reply if I feel I can add anything more than what’s already said.

Thanks,
Sanjay
