muktha muktha – t n seetharam ಮುಕ್ತ ಮುಕ್ತ

muktha continues – CSP aka TNS has returned…!

(The above was just a small video clip of my son, which turned out to be strikingly similar to the title video, except of course the last part where he slipped plop on the floor! (did you notice???) )

Truly inspiring lyrics particularly the last lines (thanks to Tharini)

MaNNa Thindu Sihi Hanna Koduva Mara Needi Needi Muktha
Beva Agiva Savigaanada Hakki Haadi Muktha Muktha

Hasira Tholinali Benkiya Koosa Porevudu Thaayiya Hrudaya
Mareyuvudunte Mareyalinintha Kaanuva Karunaamayiya

Thannaavaranave Seremaneyaadare Jeevake Elliya Mukthi
Belakina Batteya Bichchuva Jyothige Bayale Jeevan Mukthi

Irula Virudhdha Belakina Yudhdha Koneyillada Kaadaata
Thadeye Illade Nadeyale Beku Solillada Horata

Thanks to Quillpad, Kannada script was easy:

Here’s an approximate translation – of course not without the inevitable loss of poetic beauty of the song:

Consuming the soil, gives and gives sweet fruits, the tree becomes liberated
Chewing neem (bitter) but melodious bird sings and becomes liberated

The green arms (of earth) nurture the fiery infant (volcano), so the heart of a mother
Can anyone forget, in the shadows, still visible, who is so merciful

One’s own environment becomes a prison – where is liberation for such life
The light that unfolds the cloth of light, open space is liberation

Against the night, the war of light, battle without end
Without stopping, it must go on, the battle without defeat

One’s personal battle of light against darkness is indeed a lifelong quest. A meditator would truly understand beyond poetic appreciation, the profoundly beautiful depth particularly of the last para.
