about the author

Namaskaara, Namaste, Vanakkam, Bon Jour, Guten Tag, Hello… 🙂 thank you for visiting this site. I hope you find atleast one small thing of value somewhere in these pages.

As for me…

Born in June, 1975, was fascinated by computers ever since then …even as a new born baby, I loved watching the CRT display in the hospital, and now, 29.99 (er… almost 30… but not quite there yet) 30 years later, I’m proud to say I’ve come a long way… now I watch process activities on the windows task manager. I imagine I have a good sense of humor and love to try to make people laugh [and once in a way even succeed]. I love to explore the world, both the outside world as well as the universe within me. Check out the picture gallery (slightly old).

The name Sanjay that I’ve put in such big letters is ephemeral but its there so others can link the ideas in my blog it to an actual person. Maybe my ego is secretly tricking me into some kind of narcissimbut for now I’ll take the risk! 😉

I used to work in iCOPE Technologies since 1997, more or less loved everything about the job, and quit while I was ahead to join HP in April 2002.

While I’m ambitious and try to do all kinds of things, one continuosly ongoing activity is working towards a better me… by trying to improve every day I strive to learn something new everyday, from every person I meet, from everything I observe.

Just because of all the information/views on this site, people sometimes tend to overestimate me speculating that I must be a very knowledgable guy who’s read and digested so much. Some others, feel that that I just talk without supporting my words by actions… especially the ones who know me better 😉 In fact, a reader who once happened to meet me in person once, remarked later that he was quite disappointed to actually meet me, he had expected me to be some “great” fellow. [In retrospect maybe I should’ve said: just that the batteries are low for the halo that hovers above my head] but the fact is that I’m as ordinary as anybody else… and I like it that way 🙂 Hmm… sometimes maybe I’m a bit of Charlie Brown + Tintin 🙂

There are a lot of things that I’ve done in my life which are off the beaten track – for example backpacking to little known cities just to discover what’s out there – and invariably ending up getting stuck in difficult situations and just letting things unfold which led to interesting (to me, maybe ordinary to others) discoveries and so on. I have a good record of a lot of such events with photographs, and as of now have put very little content here yet. I hope to find time soon to put up the rest as well.

Hopefully anybody willing to reconsider some popular notions like life is boring, mechanical, a drudgery to go through, its a dog eat dog world, life is a rat race, etc may see some or the other post that this is also possible.
