one e-platform for Kannada

H.P. told me about this new space on the web where Kannadigas can hang out. (By Kannadigas I refer to anybody who is interested in Kannada, irrespective of their ethnic background!) Sampada site superaagidhe… UI onthu world class aagidhe 🙂 ee thara ondh platform nijavaaglu bekaagitthu…!

There are tons of yahoogroups for Kannada, also there’s this and some other orkut groups, and also some other groups which I’ve only heard of like some kannada music websites which promote discussions wrt Kannada… I’m wondering if we can somehow mine/promote mining of useful content from all those resources as well… for example the gadhegaLu thread on H.P’s blog

Another really much-needed platform was one for learning Kannada! Currently there are some placeholders here, content is still under construction, but still the overall framework looks quite promising!

    ಇವತ್ತು ಹೆಚ್ ಪಿ ಜೊತೆ ಮಾತನಾಡುವಾಗ ಕನ್ನಡ ದಲ್ಲಿ ಬ್ಲಾಗ್ ಮಾಡಲು ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಉಪಾಯಗಳು ಸಿಕ್ಕಿದವು… ಬರಹ ಡೈರೆಕ್ಟ್ ಉಪಯೋಗಿಸಿ ಆರಾಮಾಗಿ ಯೂನಿಕೋಡ್ನಲ್ಲೇ ಬರಿಯ ಬಹುದು! ಇಷ್ಟು ದಿನ windows 2000 ನಲ್ಲಿ ಕನ್ನಡ enable ಮಾಡಲು ಸಾದ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ ಅಂದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೆ… ಆದರೆ ಇಲ್ಲಿ ತುಂಬ ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ವಿವರಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ 🙂 ಆದರೆ ಕನ್ನಡದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರಿಯುವ ಅಭ್ಯಾಸ ಇಲ್ಲದಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ನಿಧಾನವಾಗಿ ಬರಿಯುತ್ತಾ ಇದ್ದಿನಿ ಆದರು ಸಕ್ಕತ್ ಮಜ ಇದೆ 😉 ಯೆಷ್ಟು ತಪ್ಪುಗಳು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೀನೋ ಯೇನೊ ಆದರೆ ಶುರು…
