simple tips to save paper in office

Some general things based on noticing the indiscriminate carnage of trees (indirectly) whenever I collect a printout from the printer in office.

Three very simple things….

* Don’t “print and forget” – dont *forget* to collect your printout!
* Set your Default Printer Preferences to print on both sides of the paper.
* Please think about whether its really going to be reused later or worth reading from paper. (Sometimes like spoilt brats we print an entire email just to note down one telephone number or a two line address in it!)

  1. useful info.
in some of my old scrapbooks, i have pasted the ‘thought for the day’ which my great-grandfather had written on back of the calender slips of his times. there are some very useful info he used to write on those.
i remember my mother telling that he used to make my mom and other grandchildren improve their handwriting by making use behind the calender, which he used to bind like a book.
i remember now many stationery shops have the single-side printed papers used in banks (i have seens only canara bank papers) bound like a book. it is good to used them. wish schools and colleges would let students use these instead of the stylish student notebooks available nowadays. (in our times, it was always the brown or blue coloured MSIL LEKHAK books!)

I find some schools do introduce the eco-friendliness idea but I guess there’s a great scope for improvement.
