no limit to going astray?

Once up on a time even the terrorist had surely started off as an innocent man. Somewhere in some circumstances, maybe holding on to some past incident, someone exploits him – manipulates his intelligence. Makes him believe he’s fighting for some noble cause. To the extent that he rationalizes his merciless butchering of his fellow human beings. How much he has to steel his own heart, ignore its crying and try and stamp it out, and act like a machine to be able to do this. What a terrible burden of anger and hatred this unfortunate man is carrying… where did it come from… so much of it? He cannot escape the fact that he too is human, he too has a heart that can love – yet he is moving further and further away from it…

What kind of ’emotional insensitivity’ training they go through to ‘inhumanize’ themselves. They may
celebrate their ‘success’, but how long before it hits them – the true the gravity of what they’ve done – not just to the victims, but to themselves.

    how true. As Gandhi said Pap se gruna karo, paape se nahi. There are so many unfortunate people in this world whose noble deeds and good qualities that reside in their heart goes unnoticed. Given a chance they would achieve more than others. I personally know people and i myself who have been cheated by noneother than my own mother who for the sake of family status use children as pons. because people in this world belive that mothers can never lie, but after nearly 32 years of truly loving my mother, she cheated on me just to save her family in a fraction of seconds. i am still to come to terms with the heartbreak adn am undergoing a mentral turmoil. I all of a sudden feel orphaned today and still am not able to come to terms that nobody else but my mother could do this to me. it would take me a lifetime to sink in my mother’s betrayal.

    Nice quote Mamatha.

    I have faced some mismatch in expectations with my mother myself, but probably not to the extent that has pained you so much. Still I can understand a little bit and so am writing from that experience.

    There is a saying “child is the father of the man” i.e. after a certain point when the child grows up, the parent child roles sort of reverse. This perspective had make forgiveness and better understanding easier.

    After all, inspite of everythng, she is your mother! So instead of only judging by only one or two incidents, it would help to remember the bigger perspective with gratitude of what pain and hardship they go through during entire process of carrying us for so many months and giving so much of themselves in bringing us up.

    I hope a day will soon come when you can look back at your current circumstances, and just smile the whole situation. You might enjoy going through this site http://sureshg.wordpress.com

    MUMBAI: The terrorists who took part in the 26/11 attack on Mumbai were motivated and brainwashed by their handlers into believing they were
    fighting for the liberation of Kashmir.

    Sources in the security establishment told TOI that the 10 men behind the deadly terrorist strike were told that they were picked for a mission in Kashmir; there was no mention about the real target until the last stage of the operation was set in motion.
