general tips while forwarding emails

Some simple suggestions about forwarding any mail you may feel is worth forwarding:

  • Use BCC while copying unrelated people.
  • Remove previous addresses of people previously in the forward chain so that somewhere down the line their ids dosen’t get collected as spam.
  • Trim out redundant text like ads, etc and preferably also lines that say inane chain mail stuff like forward to everyone you know “else you’ll get bad luck”/”show you’re a true patriot”/any other nonsense psychological gimmick attempting to gain immortality for the email! 😉

All this takes less than 10 seconds before you hit the Send button 🙂

This common man’s blog site is mostly about sharing my happiness and discoveries with others. The initial idea was to call it a journal… but later on couldn’t help using the word blog – I like Suresh’s definition – blogging is just a private conversation between you and yourself. I originally used to write emails…

  • common_man flickr account

Long long ago, around the time I’d gotten engaged, a kind reader of this site had generously gifted me a Flickr Pro account. I had liberally uploaded tons of my photos. Now that account has expired, and I’m left with most of my photos ‘disabled’ but not deleted. If any reader out here has any…
