rediscover the joy of walking

This is a letter to my colleagues, and I thought I’d share it here as well…

Dear all,

Can you guess where this photo was taken…

Around 18:20 just a few minutes’ walk from
our office! 🙂

This facility has just happened to be provided to us by coincidence so if you like you could use the opportunity in the evenings to take a brisk walk on the neat walking path around the lake, and enjoy a sunset on this bench before you go home/continue to work.

Googled to find a nice quote on walking… but found plenty on – here are some of them…

Now shall I walk

or shall I ride?

    Dear Sanjay,
Well, I envy you since you have a pleasant neighbourhood to go on a stroll. But here in New Delhi, leave alone the office tying me down, a casual walk in one’s own locality has turned into a nightmare, courtesy the pavements being occupied by cars as a result one is forced to be a jaywalker. Fortunately, the parks are the sole recourse.
All said and done, during December and January, on leaving the office at 9 in the night I had preferred walking back from my work place in RK Puram to Vasant Vihar and it used to be a nice experience. But over the past three weeks, I am once again stuck up till 10 in the night and in more mood to walk at that hour, reach home, cook food or eat out and hit the bed.
Nonetheless, thanks for the nice quotes to match the nice snap.
