I saw this one on one of the coastal walks in the southern tips of the UK last year… a very beautiful army tank…
…so beautifully rusted and deteriorated – totally out of commision! 😀
“It isn’t enough to talk about peace. One must believe in it. And it isn’t enough to believe in it. One must work at it.”

A few months ago, tagging along with a friend on a social visit, I happened to visit a 90+ old man. Unfortunately I don’t remember his name – he stays in Vyalikaval, pretty close to where I live. He turned out to be a close associate of Vinoba Bhave (in fact my history is pretty poor, I heard the name of Vinoba Bhave only recently after reading one of the entries in in Nipun’s blog and later felt he’s probably the kind of guy everybody in the country knows about except some characters like me! ). Anyway this gentleman was hard of hearing and so didn’t get much of a conversation going. Hmm now that I mention it, I feel I should visit him once more sometime. Anyway the main point is that I remember some words very well that he’d said with a broad smile as we were leaving… “ಜೈ ಜಗತà³! ಬರಿ ಜೈ ಕರà³à²¨à²¾à²Ÿà²•, ಜೈ à²à²¾à²°à²¤ ಯಾಕೆ… ಜೈ ಜಗತೠಅಂತ ಹೇಳೋಣ!!!” (victory to the whole world! why say just Jai (victory) Karnataka or Jai Bharat, let’s wish for victory to the whole world!!)
